Triple Cinnamon Sandman
River North Brewery
A Note on This Beer
**Our stash is over 50% gone!**
In a Paste Mag blind tasting, River North’s original Mr. Sandman took the title of #1 Imperial Stout in the World.
You read that right — The #1 Imperial Stout. In. The. Freakin’. WORLD!
Now, these dexterous Dark Beer masters amped up that legendary Stout with cinnamon sourced all the way from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, AND Indonesia.
Take a sip, and whispers of honeyed oak, vanilla, and molasses swirl beautifully with flavors of baking spice and dark chocolate. The Sri Lankan cinnamon flutters with subtle floral notes, while the Vietnamese Cassia and Indonesian Korintje bring a stronger, spicy-sweet decadence.
And, at 11% ABV, it won’t be long before this beer lulls you into relaxed contentment.
Go ahead, climb into that comfy chair, pull on those fuzzy socks, and indulge. Now’s a better time than any to treat yourself with River North’s world-class creation.
We have a mere 15 cases left to share. Once they’re gone… they’re gone!

This is like the cinnamon challenge in a bottle. very tough for me to get through.
a little thin on the cinnamon flavor
this is very heavy and hard to get through, but the flavors are bold and blended well.
Too much cinnamon and burnt taste
just enough cinnamon to add some spice while not being overpowering you can’t enough the dark goodness of it
Not to sweet. Nice cinnamon flavor throughout
nice flavors, nice body
Enjoyed the cinnamon flavor, flavors became more prominent as it warmed up. Overall a good stout. A little bitter, but that doesn't bother me.
okay Stout you would really need to like cinnamon to fully enjoy this one.
k I really didn't get that much cinnamon. very dry
Floral is a little overwhelming. Cinnamon is too subtle for a triple cinnamon brew.
The cinnamon is overpowering.
Ruined by excessive spice. Undrinkable.
It was very good, didn't blow me away. And the cinnamon was not very prominent on the palate.
Spicy cinnamon on top of chocolate malts. Flavor comes out even more as it warms.
very unique feel on the palate caused by three different cinnamons. really enjoyed this- quality stout with something different (the 3 cinnamon challenge).
perfectly blended balance of cinnamon and sweetness
Cinnamon started off a little subtle, but came on stronger as the stout warmed. Overall though just a little too bitter for me.
