Southern Grist Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
Our friends at Southern Grist rarely make the same beer twice. From one week to the next, their ENTIRE taplist might change!
If a brew does come back more than once a year, it’s because locals demand more.
Which is very telling about today’s Southern Crisp Pilsner. The brewers say this is probably the closest thing they have to a “flagship brew,” because people drink it up so fast!
To craft it, the Southern Grist crew delicately double dry-hopped their Pilsner with citrusy Nelson Sauvin Hops. Every sip of this unfiltered delicacy tastes like a lightly-toasted biscuit, drizzled with organic honey, and topped with a few plump, white grapes.
Hints of Chardonnay and dried dandelions pop up front. At sip’s end, a bit of malt, a dash of bready character, and a pinch of pine from the hops invites another light-bodied swig.
With this palate-refreshing can in hand, the only thing missing is a charcuterie board. And, a couple craft buddies to share it with!
Forbes declares Southern Grist one of the American South’s Best Craft Breweries!

it’s a nicely done Pilsner and this is coming from a meh on Pilsner style person. easy drinking but has some character vs the commercialized garbage that falls into this style of beer
