Plan Bee Farm Brewery
A Note on This Beer
It all started with a pickle...
One of our more adventurous writers here at Tavour was on vacation in New York City where he linked-up with a local bottleshare network: NYC Craft Beer Club. Fate would have it that about 50% of the group also happened to be Tavour members.
Bing, bang, boom -- he was in like Flinn and got invited to a group bottleshare party that was happening that weekend. The club’s president asked him if he had any requests of beer styles he’d hope to try at the gathering.
“Sours, the more unusual the better,” he replied.
Boy was he surprised when a bottle an Oak-Aged Pickle Sour Ale was set out on the tasting table. Not only was it the first dill pickle-flavored brew he’d ever tried, it was also the first time he’d ever experienced the flavors of real pickle juice dill-livered in a quenchable body. He wasn’t the only one, everyone at the party was diggin’ it. And it was the first emptied bottle of the night.
When he returned to our headquarters in Seattle, he wouldn’t shut up about this beer. So we reached out, and kept reaching out until Plan Bee made a batch for us. Today we’re psyched to finally share: Plan Bee’s Pickle Wild NY Sour Ale brewed with cucumber and dill -- aged in oak-barrels.
Forget gimmicky festival beers you can only stomach a tiny taster of. Wow your pucker-pleased pals at your next bottle share with this refreshing dill pickle Sour. You might find this hard to believe until you taste it for yourself, but it’s incredibly easy to down a whole pint while your taste buds are whisked away to new tart territories!
