Monsters In the Mash
Ex Novo Brewing
A Note on This Beer
Who says that just because Halloween is over, spooky season has to end?
If you’re like me, as long as there’s still candy in the house and skeletons hanging from the eaves, there’s nothing stopping us from having a ghoulishly good time.
Which is why I’m beyond stoked for today’s limited-edition Monsters in the Mash Hazy Pale Ale from Oregon’s Ex Novo.
The brewers double dry-hopped this hauntingly juicy, one-off Hazy with 5 lbs per barrel of El Dorado, Amarillo, and Azacca Hops, making every sip taste like a liquified pack of tropical Starbursts! Only better, because this grown-ups-only can of candy comes spiked with a sinfully smooth 6.66% ABV.
Which means, while everyone else is stressed over planning the “absolutely perfect” Thanksgiving, you can kick back with your favorite Hitchcock flick and drink in the Jolly Rancher-like juiciness in today’s brew.
Heck, offer a sip to your own gang of hop-fiending zombies. I’ll bet that once those layers of drippy mango, tangy pineapple, and zesty citrus hit their tongues, they’ll smack their lips and bust into their own monster mash!
But you gotta act fast if you want any chance at snagging this monstrously luscious brew.
Because the last time we got our hands on a Hazy Pale Ale from these Oregon Beer Award-winners, it disappeared faster than a vampire in sunlight.
And considering we have the only cases leaving the Northwest, I don’t expect our fruit-lovin’ Frankensteins to let these cans hang around long.
