Three Magnets Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
Three Magnets takes the Mexican Chocolate Stout to the next level of flavor intensity by aging their Kratovo Borracho on Tequila barrel chips. With additions of cacao nibs, cinnamon, and 4 types of smoky chilis, they’re going full on holy Mole, olé!
Starting with the bittersweet chocolate roastiness of their Kratovo Russian Imperial Stout, this 10.8% ABV beast gets a special woody treatment from aging on Anejo Tequila oak chips. A pop of tequila flavor is swarmed by waves of chocolate and cinnamon spice, merging with the sweet smokiness of Ancho, Pasilla, Guajillo, and Hatch chilis. After that comes another bite of cinnamon-coated dark chocolate, and Borracho finishes with a pleasant dryness that brings together all the complex Mole flavors.
One sip of Kratovo Borracho will transport you to an Oaxacan market, the air filled with lively aromas of spice and smoke. Three Magnets skillfully integrates layers of chocolate, chilis, and cinnamon into the dry RIS base. Be wary -- it’s so drinkable that the sneaky 10.8% ABV might make you drift into an unintended siesta.
