French Toast (2020-1)
A Note on This Beer
One of my all-time favorite breakfast foods is, and always has been, a plate of sweet and cinnamon-y French Toast.
Even as a kid, I couldn’t get enough of my grandma’s French Toast. I’d inhale piece after piece, stack after stack, until my belly was full!
Which is why I just HAD to grab the freshest batch of Hubbard’s Cave’s decadent French Toast Imperial Stout! Thank the Dark Beer gods I did, too — the last 4 releases all clock an astronomical 4.20+ on Untappd!
The thick waves of sticky maple syrup in this batch welcome you as soon as you crack open the can. Rich cinnamon and hazelnut notes pour across the palate amid strong flavors of warm maple syrup. A vanilla latte-like roastiness hangs in the back, and the lactose brings in a creamy mouthfeel to mask the boozy 12% ABV.
Every gulp of this glorious Imperial Stout is like getting your whole breakfast in the convenience of a drinkable, 16oz can. But this breakfast isn’t served ANYWHERE outside of Illinois!
So, if you’re hungry for pastry-like Dark Beer decadence, you’d better hit that “Get It” button now!
French Toast 2020-1 is too new for ratings! Grab a few cans and be one of the first people in the country to tell the world about his decadent sipper!

Really fantastic dessert stout. Smacks you in the face with boozy cinnamon French toast. I'd definitely get this again.
Tastes exactly like mofo French Toast mmmmm
I’ll be forever hoping I can get my hands on this one more time.
Incredible cinnamon and maple stout. This is one of the best pastry stouts I’ve ever had.
Taste is spot on but definitely too sweet/pancake syrupy for me to drink alone or more than this one. Great flavor to have as part of a flight/sampler.
Perfect in every way, delicious cinnamon nose with faint vanilla sweetness, tastes just like french toast, highly highly recommend!
First beer from Tavour ever, if this is the standard for beer from Tavour I’ll be spending a lot more money on beer deliveries to New Hampshire.
My favorite beverage to have with home made French toast.
Takes like syrup in a good way
Sweet, lots of cinnamon, tastes a lot like French toast! Definitely a dessert stout, too sweet to have with food.
Love these dessert stouts
