A Note on This Beer
There are different levels of devotion expressed by the people who adore Mother Earth Brewing Co:

- Level 2 — The slightly more fanatical fans of Four Seasons of Mother Earth, the brewery’s top-tier, nano-batch, barrel-aged, rotating seasonal series.
- Level 10 — The steadfast Stout supporters who are utterly smitten by each year’s dark & roasty Winter release: Winter 2018 Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout brewed with Coffee & Cinnamon.
Winter arrives for Level 10 superfans when their Instagram pings with the brewery’s announcement of this seasonal release.They immediately scramble for flights to Cali, because they MUST get it before it’s gobbled up by other crazed Level 10s.
If you’re reading this (even if you haven’t tried Mother Earth yet) you’ll quickly surpass Level 1 . A sip of Winter 2018 fast-tracks anyone to Level 10 status. Mother Earth infuses a vintage blend of Dark Beers with whole bean coffee and whole cinnamon sticks, then ages it in Bourbon Barrels for at least 18 months. It’s bottled at a rich and spicy 12.5% ABV.
The final flavor is something like a Bourbon-soaked chocolate coffee cake mixed with fresh cinnamon spices. It rolls across your tongue like dark clouds collecting on the horizon before a snowstorm — while you’re watching them next to a roaring fire with a cup full of cinnamon-spiced whiskey.
