The Lost Abbey
A Note on This Beer
Brewed with juicy, resinous hops and fruity Brettanomyces, Carnevale is The Lost Abbey’s GABF gold-medal Imperial Saison that helped launch their national award-winning reputation.
The combination of Brett, Amarillo Hops, and Simcoe Hops creates a carnival of flavors ranging from spicy to juicy citrus to tart dryness. Brett brings out wafts of clove and coriander in the aroma while spiced pine rises from the Simcoe Hops. Amarillo Hops highlight an explosion of juicy grapefruit, zesty orange, and dry white grapes with a hint of creamy vanilla spice. Funky tart intensifies the mouth-watering fruity notes before moving into a sharp, dry finish on the palate.
Toting a mind-altering 8% ABV and full of complexity, Carnevale is refreshingly drinkable with an imperial strength that’ll give you a reason to celebrate— or cellar it to bring out even more of the tart Brett funkiness.
