What We Brew In the Shadows
A Note on This Beer
*TREASURE HUNT ALERT! Starting tomorrow through Christmas Eve, fan favorites will be making special SILENT appearances on the app for a few hours before they disappear! Will you be here to catch them?!*
Portland’s Stormbreaker crafted a brew to crush while binge-watching the hilarious vampire comedy show, What We Do In The Shadows.
What We Brew In The Shadows is a New Zealand-style Pilsner. It’s not for vampires, although, the brewers did add some bite to it — hop bite, that is!
The Stormbreaker crew added a New Zealand hop bill of Motueka and Pacifica for nectarous mango, melon, and lime notes. They also used premium German malts for an ultra-smooth body built for downing by the pintful while watching several episodes of your favorite shows.
If you haven’t seen What We Do In The Shadows yet, here is a fan favorite quote from vampire Jackie Daytona:
“One human alcohol beer, please.” He’s trying to pass as a regular ‘human bartender.’ It sounds a little suspicious, don’t you think?
Well, today’s beer won’t blow his cover. It is made for humans, but not just any humans. It’s for those that truly appreciate the hard work and dedication that goes into making a crisp, clean, flavorful Pilsner!

Good pils, nothing too crazy. Think I liked it more for the graphics on the can. Def worth trying. I’d pick it up again.
Crisp but with a pleasant hop character as well
Crisp with nice hoppiness.
Approved by Jackie Daytona - regular human bartender
Taste like an old flat Budweiser
Good beer and even better show
Crispy with a good hop bill
Wow! Really like the flavor from the hops - adds to the Pilsner refreshment. Any vampire would be delighted to have a bite on me after a I’d had a few
Terrific malty pilsner! The description on the can talks about "hop bite" and I was afraid it was going to be an IPA in disguise. Thankfully though it's nicely balanced and not bitter.
I’d give it more than five if I could. Best pils I’ve ever had. The hops used blend perfectly to create a smooth Pilsner finish. Well done StormBreaker, well done!
Solid hoppy taste and goes down smooth
