A Note on This Beer
LIC Beer Project’s approachable take on bold IPAs has earned the NYC-based brewery a higher UT rating than their neighboring hop stars at Threes, Barrier, and Interboro. Even Forbes calls out LIC for the way they “crush the IPA game!”
Still, even with all their clout, we wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve never heard of them. The local hopheads of NYC slurp up their small-batch tropical juicers in a snap, so their brews rarely leave the Five Boroughs!
It might seem like these juicebombs move on a straight path from the taproom to the local hopheads, but today, we’re diverting that trend so you can add some dimension to your own life.
Today’s beer might be named Linear Dimension, but it is one Imperial IPA that’s anything but one-dimensional.
It’s thick, it’s fruity, and it’s seriously dank. So really, this 4.21 UT-rated hop juice has at least three dimensions to it!
- 1st Dimension: A sturdy English base malt and two varieties of oak malt lead with a cloudy-soft body as the hazy mouthfeel envelops with every sip.
- 2nd Dimension: A fruity plane of hops hovers above the mouthfeel. Citra dominates with freshly picked mangoes and sweet honeydew melon, followed by zesty lime notes from Motueka Hops.
- 3rd Dimension: Home to a hophead’s favorites, where bitterness bites and dankness ranks. Pithy orange peel swirls around from a dose of Amarillo while Comet Hops usher in dank papaya and a resinous kiss of grapefruit.
Life needs depth, color, and flavor and the same goes for IPAs. Grab a few cans of Linear Dimension while our tiny stash is still around, and bring a little more dimension to your day!
