About This Beer
The absolute wildcards at Kings Brewing Co. collabed with friends at Donahoo’s Chicken and literally brewed a DIPA with their Golden Fried Chicken. Citra incognito, Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, and Motueka Hops bring tropical waves of nectar that blend with the crisp breadiness.
Tasting Notes
Swirls of succulent mandarin and tangy pineapple nuance surge through the sip, with tones of bright lime underneath. A refreshing piney note rises on the end balancing the juice.

Very good IPA, tropical and hoppy. Can design was cool too, though no idea what menu was on the can.

I was skeptical but interested when seeing this beer on Tavour. In my head I was like there's no way there's actually fried Chicken in the beer. When you put your nose up to the beer it's very subtle of a smell but when you take your first sip you'll definitely taste fried Chicken along with a refreshing IPA. I'm not going to lie it's not bad by any means. when I prep a chicken to grill I will marinate it in beer but I never thought to add chicken to the brewing process of a beer. It is definitely very gimmicky but it's enjoyable. the aftertaste is when the chicken really comes through. Would I get this again in the future? Probably not but I will be finishing the rest of this beer.

Perhaps it’s the power of suggestion, but the addition of fried chicken leads me to pick up on a bready, oily/fatty creaminess and fullness to the body. Beyond that: bright, citrusy aroma; and tasting notes of orange peel, melon, lime, and dank pine.
