About This Beer
Pondaseta began with a mixed-culture Golden Sour Ale brewed with a quartet of specialty malts. Then they split it into a tequila barrel, a second-use French oak red wine barrel, and two second-use spirit barrels to age for about 9 months before blending.
After time spent maturing in their cellars, this brew is smoother and more complex than ever!
Tasting Notes
Pour a glass, and orchard aromas will invite you in. On the sip, tangy apricot notes mingle with overripe cantaloupe tones up front. Funky, Brett-inflected nuances of hay, oak, and horse blanket follow, coursing over the biscuity malts along with a citrusy tartness that lingers into the finish.
