About This Brewery
It’s awesome to hear this Minnesota brewery talk about how they got started.
The duo was homebrewing together in 2006 in a one-car garage. They crafted their first brew on a -20 degree February day, huddled around a turkey burner (both for warmth and because the garage was so small). And they dreamed about how cool it would be to brew beer for a living. That passion drove that dream into a reality.
You can’t talk about Fulton without mentioning their 300 IPA. It’s a beer synonymous with the brewery. And Draft Magazine declared it one of the Best IPAs in the World!
Fulton is known as a hop-forward brewery and their biggest seller is the Guns & Roses-inspired Sweet Child of Vine IPA. In it, they use rare (to the U.S.) Glacier Hops to give it a uniquely English-American IPA fusion of flavor.
These brewers love their hops but they are no one-trick-pony. They help Minnesota locals stay warm with their Worthy Adversary Russian Imperial Stout. It has a consistency similar to 5W-30 motor oil. Adventurous tattoo artists have even used it in place of ink! And, if left outside during winter, it won't freeze, even in the North Star State!
Hype: 300 IPA placed in the Top 40 on Paste Magazine’s IPA blind tasting, beating out Great Notion’s Juice Jr. and Russian River’s Blind Pig! Growler Magazine named it Best in Show out of all Minnesota IPAs (Surly’s Todd The Axeman, what’s up?)
