About This Beer
This beer is a collaboration between beer Zombies and Mason Ale Works. The owner of Mason Ale Works is close friends with Chris Jacobs, the head brewer and owner of the Beer Zombies! Together, they work on outlandishly delicious hopbombs, including this 4-hop DIPA. Also, like most of their can art, Army of Dankness has that groovy niche design, serving as a love letter to Ash from The Evil Dead.
Tasting Notes
Each sip starts with aromas of grapefruit zest and pithy citrus; then, that resinous, dank flavor seeps into the beginning of taste, with tropical fruits lingering in the back, blending with a malty kick.

More bitter than hoppy, which is rare for a double IPA. Also not as boozy as a double IPA, so good for a light drink.

The beer/description is all wrong. Review is for Beer Zombies Brewing Co's Zombie of Dankness, the beer pictured and described. Mason Ale Works' Dankenstein's Monster (the title) is a different beer.

Too hoppy for my tastes, like getting kicked in the tongue, not exceptionally flavorful underneath all the hop

Groovy! Piney, with the tart dryness of grapefruit citrus (it's hoppy). Thankfully, you don't need to read a human leather bound book (or three) to enjoy this!
