I expected more from this. not bad, but underwhelming.
Good brew would try it again.. Grade B-
Hazy. Citrus flavor present.
Perfect brew to share on a hot summer day. These guys are the real deal
Tastes heavy hops without much grapefruit or mandarin orange flavor. With only the 6.2% alcohol I was expecting a smoother flavor.
Hoppy and bitter!
Solid TG IPA, but not one of their best
Below average for TG
Smooth and delicious
Juicy!! Definitely has a citrusy orange and grapefruit up front but a nice crisp beer from this style in my opinion. Very drinkable! I am a long time lover of IPA's. A bit new to the New England, hazy scene, but I'm learning there are some really good beers in this category! I still love me a real hoppy true West Coast IPA or double IPA or triple......but whatever category we want to put this one in it is an awesome drinker! There is definitely some good stuff over here on this side, but so far this has been my favorite " hazy"! If you think IPA's are too bitter for you, I would suggest trying this and you will at least be a convert to the hazy / juicy New England IPA style! PROST!
Great simple IPA
Now that’s an IPA!
I get straight cannabis on the nose. Complex flavors - pine, floral, grapefruit pith.
Easy drinking brew enjoyed it.
To much grapefruit flavor over powers the rest of the beers flavors
Enjoyed but a bit too one-dimensional for me
Good mouth feel and grapefruit
A bit more sediment and cloudiness than I expected, slightly bitter, still quite good.
Stone fruit and smooth
Tasted bitter, didn’t find it had much flavor
Grapefruit pith bitterness. Could drink another.
Pretty middle of the road. Good mouth feel, not a lot of depth flavor wise. Could be a bit more balanced.
Daily corona battle. #CountryLyfeProbs box delivery edition. This has lotsa soft, earthy Nelson hops. Pithy with some lingering hop bite. TG does west coast.
it’s average IPA has a bell pepper back end taste to it
Solid, but a bit more bitterness than I usually prefer from an IPA
This is good. It has a little grapefruit twang at the end.
Goliath always a winner
Amazing example of what the Nelson hop can do. Disappointed I didn’t order more. One of the best beers I’ve had of 2020
12/18/20 Nelson for the win. Grapefruit and cut grass. Like a Sauvignon Blanc mimosa.
Would have been in my top -10-ever-beers were it not for the mouthfeel/body/pulpiness that comes with NEIPA. Much hazier than pictured, and should just be called a NEIPA; not a “base” IPA. Nelson Sauvin is abundantly clear on nose and on flavor. Unfortunately, the haze craze imparted the cliche pineapple and chalk, heavily subduing the traditional massive gooseberry and green wood of Nelson Savin for what’s usually contributed by Mosaic and Galaxy hops, particularly, high acid citrus. Malt to hop ratio is spot on. It’s just another unfortunate example of haze-catering ruins otherwise phenomenal beers. If it were brewed as a non-haze this would easily be a chart-topper. As is, it’s a slightly different iteration of the same old, same old
