A Note on This Beer
Plenty of people dream about ditching their jobs and setting off for sunnier climates — longtime craft beer veterans Keith Fekete and Sam Kayata did just that, in 2019!
After a combined 22 years in the industry (Sam as a brewer at New Jersey’s beloved Carton, and Keith in sales and distro with Captain Lawrence in New York) the pair decided it was high time they joined forces to create Sun Lab Brewing.
They also decided to escape the Northeast and head to sunny Miami, where they’re seriously flexing their creative muscles by releasing two totally new, ultra-limited beers per month.
Today, we were lucky enough to snag one of their most recent offerings.
Worries Vanish Sour Ale actually tastes like a sweet-tart berry cobbler, because the brewers packed it with all the same real ingredients your grandmother would use! It absolutely overflows with real blackberries, almonds, cinnamon, and vanilla, while an addition of graham crackers recreates the flavors of freshly made pie crust. The finish is dry, with a lingering pucker.
And, they top it all with a dollop of lactose that melts through the super-soft body like a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
