Today’s beer is called Whiskey Barrel Stout, and that’s exactly what it is!

The team at Boulevard started with a mash of malted barley, rye, wheat, and oats for a deliciously robust and complex base. Then they aged it in a blend of first and second use whiskey barrels for at least a year. Finally, they blended a portion of fresh Stout into the BA beer at a ratio of 2 parts aged to 1 part freshly brewed. 

Look for flavors of vanilla and roasty coffee mingling with nuances of bakers’ chocolate, caramel, and whiskey-caramel. It’s so easy to drink, you might not believe that it comes with an 11.8% ABV. But you’ll definitely feel it by the time you hit the bottom of the can.

And unlike most BA Stouts, you don’t have to wait for a special occasion to crack this one open. The 12oz bottle and easygoing price tag make it a nightcap you can enjoy on any old evening.
