About This Beer
To make this one, the celebrated master of mixed fermentation added caramel malt, locally grown barley, and wheat to their ale base, creating a slightly bready base. Then they doused it with the highest quality Vermont maple syrup they could get their hands on and conditioned it in oak wine barrels for months along with piles of fresh, whole black raspberries.
Tasting Notes
A touch of tartness accentuates fruity notes, with mild hints of hay-like funk dancing around the edges. Nuances of lemon zest and subtle biscuit tones lie just underneath deep maple character that lingers all the way through the crisp, effervescent finish.
