About This Beer
In 2004, Ron Jeffries and his wife, Laurie, founded Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, the States’ first ever all Wild, all oak-aged brewery. Ron changed the face of American craft forever, inspiring countless other now world-renowned brewers — including Gabe Fletcher and his talented team at Anchorage!
Now, in a fitting tribute to a true pioneer, Gabe and his crew have blended a Sour Ale unlike any we’ve ever seen! Mixing base Sours from Ron’s many friends and collaborators, the Anchorage legends blended their own Sour with those of Holy Mountain, Monkish, Side Project, Hill Farmstead, Tired Hands, Cantillon, Sante Adairius, Russian River, Off Color, Green Bench, Yazoo, and New Belgium!
Tasting Notes
We haven’t had the pleasure of trying this one yet — no one has! — but we’re anticipating an impeccably dynamic sip brimming with nuances of lemon zest tempered by hints of earthy funk. Aromas of wildflowers and freshly cut hay should glitter around the periphery as dried stone fruit carries on the finish with touches of oak.
