About This Beer
Bombastic crafted it on a base of dark malts and cold brew from Thomas Hammer Coffee, just up the road in Hayden, Idaho. Then they added maple syrup TWICE — both in the boil and during fermentation — highlighting its subtly smoky woodiness as well as the sweetness we all know and love.
Let Waddle warm as you sip, and the initial impression of dark chocolate and roasty coffee will express subtle notes of cinnamon, dried fruit, and campfire. The maple balances the bitter tones and boozy 14% ABV, leaving a pleasant aftertaste in the long, smooth finish.
Roasty Dark Chocolatey Boozy Bitter
Coffee Maple Syrup
very coffee like, robust and slightly bitter. roasty with a sweet finish.
I was expecting a very maple forward beer, they did a good job of keeping it light. very nice
roasty, woody, lingering maple
Lots of coffee but couldn't find the maple syrup.
The stars of the show (maple and coffee) dominate nicely. Perfect coffee and the maple is oh so sweet and worthy supporting star.
14% horsepower with maple & coffee? Yes please! Strong coffee, light maple & a slight boozy finish. Good beer on a cold day
Very smooth and great balanced flavor for 14%
Lots of coffee notes throughout. The maple is pretty subtle and allows the stout's bitterness to come through.
