About This Beer
They started with their Gran Met — a Tripel-style Ale fermented with a proprietary yeast strain from a small brewery in Belgium. Then they aged the beer in passionfruit, cherries, and raspberries for boldly fruity flavors. Finally, they transferred the brew into French oak malbec barrels for an extended slumber.

I like it. I'm not blown away, but I'd drink it again.

Aromas of tropical fruits and woody vanilla, very much like a ruby port. On the palate, esters of banana, clove, and a touch of pepper combine with the tartness of raspberry and passionfruit for a unique twist on a tripel.
