About This Beer
Before the Pastry Stout was even a thing, beer geeks considered Perennial’s Abraxas a Dessert Beer great. It’s thicker, richer — and, many would agree — more indulgent than practically any brew that came before it. Due in part to Abraxas, an entire arsenal of fudgy, Sweet Stouts have taken the craft scene by storm. And Perennial didn’t just stop with their base Abraxas – with Vanilla Abraxas, they injected real Madagascar vanilla bean into the brew to elevate that sweet, smooth finish.
Tasting Notes
A mouth-coating body brings forth massive chocolate flavors. Swirls of spice scintillate, finishing with a tongue tickling heat. The double dose of vanilla adds to the smooth finish, washing all that spice down with luxurious ease.

Overall a very high quality option. My second fave of the Abraxas series to coffee.

Amazingly Rich and complex. The vanilla coffee comes through initially. But that spicy bite of that pepper at the end is what really makes it special. And as it warms up so does that fire.

Well done but the vanilla doesn’t play a heavy role. It does add a decent smoothness to the coffee and chili tho.

Not too much vanilla, but HFS.

Lots of tasty vanilla!

Big chocolate up front, followed by fudge, burned wood, and a touch of chili heat. Vanilla creeps on as it warms, finishing nutty, sweet and lightly dry.

Third of four. Vanilla version was too sweet. Preferred the coffee. Learning dessert stouts are not for me.

lactose in this beer ruins it IMO

I liked the other (regular) Abraxas much better. The vanilla was almost undetectable and I thought this bottle was thinner than the last. It’s still very good but perhaps does not justify the price.
