About This Beer
This dream-team of expert brewers use a variety of German Malts and a subtle kiss of Hallertau Tradition Hops to create a tour-worthy beer with a full-bodied, bready flavor, and a classic, earthy aroma. While your average Bock is stronger and more robust than a typical Lager, Doppelbocks like this one takes things even further by teeing off on the already rich and malty flavors and knocking them clear into next week!. And that’s the whole point! According to legend, German monks in the 16th century developed this hearty brew as a form of “liquid bread” to help sustain them during long fasting periods.
The combination of German malts and Hallertau Tradition Hops creates a rich, malty flavor with notes of crusty bread, and a distinctly classic, earthy aroma.
Boozy Robust Classic
German Malts Hallertau Tradition Hops
malty and sweet with a slightly fruity finish
Initially didn’t like the aftertaste, but then it gets better. B y the 4th or 5th sip I didn’t notice that initial taste at all. it was delicious.
fantastic bock! holy smokes- got more or do i need to hit the course?? the sweetness is perfectly balanced so as not to over power the malts.
major soy sauce flavors ruined it for me personally.
Really nice version of a triple bock, actually! Sweetness balanced with a very malty flavor.
sweet but very malty and tasty. cold notes and Belgiany
The initial consistency, smell, and taste reminded me of a bottle of soy sauce, which may have been a sign that I’ve accidentally let this age too long. As I continued to sip, those qualities diminished, but the boozy heat overwhelmed all other qualities.
