About This Beer
The legendary brewers crafted The Tenth Nail in honor of the 10th anniversary of The Pine Box, a beloved Seattle bar housed in a former mortuary. They started with the same rich Stout base as Rusty Nail, aged in 8-12 year-old bourbon barrels. Then they blended in Stouts aged in a maple barrel, rum barrel, cinnamon-vanilla-maple barrel, and a vanilla barrel. Finally, they finished the decadent brew on licorice and cinnamon bark.
Tasting Notes
Every velvety pour should perfume the air with inviting aromas of baking spice, top shelf spirits, and a roasty nuttiness. Look forward to layers of dark cocoa, star anise, and brown sugar atop a finely-tuned whiskey profile. Mocha, sherry, rum-soaked raisin, and molasses nuances ought to add a delicate complexity while further obscuring a 13.2% ABV that, after four years in the cellar, should be smoother than ever.
