A Note on This Beer
Once a brewery reaches major league levels of popularity, it’s unheard of for their year-round brews to be hunted down by hopheads in bottle shops and grocery stores with the same hunger as their special releases. Neshaminy Creek Brewing’s The Shape Of Hops To Come falls into this exceptional class: no matter how often they make, it disappears faster than they can brew it.
Dry-hopped for two weeks for wallops of citrus and coniferous aromas, this hopbomb weighs-in with an intense 98 IBUs of juicy citrus, piney sap, and a resinous bitter grapefruit hoppiness. All the hop-prospecting is well worth the effort in this mouth crushing Imperial IPA, rated 4.25 on BeerAdvocate! This is our first taste from them, and boy it’s as dank and punk rock as its name implies.
Its hop bill reads like a Best Of issue with some of the trendiest new, and tastiest classic hops on the scene. Hops To Come is a seriously complex mix of grapefruity Apollo, vinous Newport, passion fruit-filled Simcoe, ultra dank Topaz, and melony Citra Hops. It tastes like someone fell asleep in a hop field and woke up with the vision for a dream-like Imperial IPA.Like a trip through your deepest, dankest thoughts, before today we only dreamt of hoppy brews like The Shape of Hops To Come.
