About This Beer
Off the beaten path, steeped in tradition, and oh-so-enjoyable. Those are just a few of the things this near pitch black Lager style (a.k.a. Schwarzbier) has in common with the folks who make it. A year-round offering from Haw River, local craft fans love this crushable yet malty sipper.
Each taste of Haw River’s take on the classic style is like a craveable baked bread loaf, slathered in hazelnut spread! Aromas of bittersweet chocolate and dark blend coffee tantalize at the start of each quaff. A full body swirls those nutella-coated toast notes with malty flavors through the taste, with a crisp and easy finish that begs for another sip.

Complex dark lager with a touch of caramel. The Bavarian yeast adds a great complex taste.
