About This Beer
Ken Schramm of Schramm’s Mead hand harvested the heirloom Cider apples with his daughter Sarah.
They washed and pressed the fruit, combined it with local honey, and fermented it five gallons at a time in glass demi-johns. Then they aged it in carefully selected bourbon barrels until it achieved the nuance and balance that makes Schamm’s so beloved among Mead aficionados.
Tasting Notes
Look for hints of caramel and oak drizzled over crisp apple notes. A dollop of honey permeates the finish, leaving just a faint blush of warmth from the 10% ABV.
