About This Beer
Burial and their Pennsylvania buddies at Coven Brewing got together to craft a decadent homage to a Pittsburgh icon: Prantl’s burnt almond torte.
Taking inspiration from the bakery, the team stuffed a rich, velvety Imperial Stout base with heaping helpings of toasted almonds and bourbon-soaked Madagascar vanilla. Then, in an inspired twist, they sprinkled in some juicy raspberries.
Tasting Notes
You can expect layers of creamy vanilla custard, caramelized nuts, and silky marzipan all wrapped up in a fudgy chocolate base. Look for subtle bramble berry nuances on the tail end, like a drizzle of raspberry sauce adorning an indulgent bite of cake.
