A Note on This Beer
There are multiple reasons I love tasting new beers from New York’s SingleCut:
- I know it’s going to be good! There’s a reason everyone from Vinepair to Craft Beer & Brewing calls this crew one of the best in the Empire State. And fans like @Joe M. say you "can't go wrong with a SingleCut IPA!"
- Their beers are only available in a handful of states, so getting my hands on a SingleCut brew is always a treat! You all seem to agree — you’ve rated almost every beer from these Big Apple brewers 4+ on Tavour!
- They name a lot of their beers after classic rock lyrics, so it gives me an excuse to listen to some tunes. Today, it’s “The Passenger” by the one and only Iggy Pop:
“We’ll see The Bright and Hollow Sky // We’ll see the stars that shine so bright // The sky was made for us tonight.”
And you know, those lyrics are actually completely accurate! The crew at SingleCut really did make this Bright and Hollow Sky just for all us Hazeheads!
To create its delectably fruity flavors of fuzzy peach, ripe mango, fresh squeezed OJ, and a touch of subtle dankness, the brewers used top-secret experimental hops from the Pacific Northwest!
They won't tell us exactly what the hops are, but they taste like they came from a tropical farmers market. And wrapped in the ultra-soft body of SingleCut’s base beer, they sure do shine bright!
With a pint of this mysterious hop juice in hand, you’ll be The Passenger, and you’ll ride on a river of hoppy, fruity, bliss.
