Anchorage Brewing Company
A Note on This Beer
It’s an age-old rivalry: Dogs vs. Cats. Publicly declare your allegiance to either side, and things are bound to get heated!
We say it’s time to put the claws away, because today’s 2-pack is meant to be savored by BOTH sides. And, it comes from one of Thrillist’s Best Breweries in the country!
We’re not kitten around! The hop maestros at Anchorage brewed Team Dog and Team Cat with all the juicy flavor needed to bring even the craziest cat parent, and the biggest dog fan together in hazy harmony.
To craft Team Dog, the brewers finished their juicy IPA on heaps of real, tangy tangerines for flavors brighter than a puppy's personality.
Double dry-hopped with greedy amounts of tropical juice-soaked Strata Hops, this wag-worthy hop nectar comes packed with all the refreshing flavor of a cara cara orange-infused lemon drop cocktail. The mouthfeel? Softer than a golden retriever’s silky coat!
Don’t get hiss-terical, feline enthusiasts — you’re next! To honor all the cat lovers out there, the brewers crafted Team Cat with heaps of Galaxy, Strata, and Motueka Hops.
With each purr-fectly pine-infused sip, this juicy brew swirls with all the refreshing flavors of a fresh-squeezed grapefruit paloma, garnished with a pine sprig.
Most cat and dog lovin’ craft fans in the Lower 48 will never know the fruity glory of these standout Hazies. These limited releases can’t be found in any bottleshops outside of Alaska!
I know, pretty ruff go! I recommend fetching a stash while you still can. I’m willing to bet these cans will scurry off the app in a blink!
With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

Team dog way better. This didn’t have much stand out flavor. Alright hops. No fruit though!
Juicy but manageable ipa
Crisp, light, citrus.
I get lots of citrus flavor. Small amount of bitterness but does not last long. Smooth drinking
Easy drinking beer, not overly bitter
2020 Galaxy crop holds this back a bit.
Very light and drinkable, as a reoccurring theme in my first box from Tavour I'm still waiting for a beer that has some big bold notes.
Great chance to try a new brewery for me.
Hazy, hoppy & floral...good stuff!
Team dog is the winner!
Mildly hoppy, with a smooth finish
Pretty good, but...
I did enjoy but dog was better imo
Not bad, but it pretty heavily on the bitter end.
16oz can from Tavour. Milky yellow pour with a small foamy head, solid chunk of sediment plops into the glass. Aroma, like Team Dog, is a mixture of things, with a lean towards citrus. Taste is light citrus, lemon, oranges, with a full, thick creamy, bready texture. Hoppiness a bit more subdued than Team Dog. Plenty juicy though. This is a close call, with edge going to... Team Dog!
I was team cat, but it was pretty split among the group. Average, good IPA.
Definitely more traditional IPA. Both Cat and Dog have their strengths
Team Dog was tastier!
Similar to team dog
Pale for purr
Pretty average ipa
Im dog guy that has Cats, but this is Meooooow
Go get some, right MEOW. Has a great effervescent quality and crispness. Slightly bitter finish that lingers just enough. I’m a dog person but this is the cats meow.
Crisp floral hoppiness
Beats Team Dog.
It’s a lot of fun comparing Dog & Cat. They’re both fantastic. Cat is interesting in the sense that although it has a softer, more dank aroma, it actually pops a little more in the palate and offers a little more hoppy complexity.
Bitter. Sweet. Perfect.
Very bright flavor, hop forward. IPA haters won’t find much to love but it’s overall a nice IPA
Juicy, floral and bitter. Perfectly balanced. Anchorage crushes it again!
Cats < dogs
Very tasty, delicious beer. I think I prefer Team Dog, but maybe that’s just the Dozer Bean influence.
Lemon lime fruit salad
Light and crisp. Not too bitter.
Pineapple, guava amazing juice.
Pineapple, guava, crisp.
For being DDH, it is not very hoppy or bitter. Honestly, has very little taste. Easy drinking, though
Love the Galaxy in this.
Crisp and Light. And crisp. Lemon Grapefruit snap hits you in the mouth with refreshing subtle bitter end. And it’s crisp too. Like a shandy almost.
Good stuff, but Team Dog takes the cake
Perfectly balanced for an all hop brew it’s almost juice like
Pretty good effort from team kitty too 🐱
Strata hops are the best...cats are the worst
Slightly bitter aftertaste. Grapefruit on pallet. Well done IPA.
Team Cat wins.
Nice, but doesnt stand out from a typical IPA
Smooth and hazy throughout
Nothing too special. Little bit of a bitter taste. Not much different than Team Dog in my opinion.
Shared this 2 pack with my friends and and I was team dog. They were team cat.
I'm gonna have to say team cat.
Crushable. Solid IPA.
Not as juicy as I would have thought but a nice solid NEIPA. Would recommend to friends.
Another good one❤️
Solid IPA. Travelled well around a big chunk of the planet.
Not bad, but I've had better. A bit over bearing on the bitterness for me.. Dog was better.
Smooth and crisp
Fruity and flavorful
Team Cat does not disappoint much like Team Dog. This is like a SLIGHTLY bitter beer version of Orangina. A nice sweet orange/tangerine tang, light and just a great level of carbonation.
Slight tropical aromas and a bit of a citrus flavor. Nice NEIPA mouthfeel, full and juicy.
I'm team cats all the way! But both are refreshing brews.
Real life: team dog Beer: team cat
Pretty standard in a good way
I’m a dog person but on team cat as far as the Anchorage Brewing Company is concerned.
Just like Team Dog, good, but wish was a bit better
Really enjoyed this one.
I liked better than Team Dog. Bright, citrus, mango, white peach sorta stuff with subtle bitterness.
Tasty! Anchorage never disappoints. I think team dog won though.
Lighter on the mouthfeel bit still juicy and easy drinking. Haven't been disappointed by Anchorage yet
Very slightly hazy, compared to Team Dog... Lemon citrus sharpness accompanies the pleasing bitterness in this one; Kitty's claws.
My new favorite IPA. Can actually pick up on the pine needles, which may sound weird, but turned out to be amazing.
Not my favorite! And I have a cat. LOL
Average IPA...nice bitter kick. Not as hazy or NEIPA as I usually prefer.
Sorry I didn’t get more.
Team cat was better than team dog
Better than dog
Not bad but Team Dog takes the win
2/12/21 love the NZ hops and they blend beautifully with that unmistakable ABC yeast profile. Killer, tropically juicy hazy. Team Cat for the win!
Refreshing grapefruit flavor that brings out a fresh and crisp IPA. Very nice!
loving this brewery. I’m team cat for sure. the mix of hops is deliciously smooth and floral.
02/12/21, Love the can art on these but can't help to think these still don't ship well via tavour, maybe. Bitter and light but mildly sweet.
Another quality beer from Anchorage
