I’m really really liking this, but I’m having a hard time getting anything other than fudge/ chocolate. I’m getting light hints of raw peanuts and vanilla. Hopefully the cherries and sprinkles will come through as it warms….nope, not a lot of change as it warms.
I love Prairie’s stouts, but this one is an exception. Can’t even describe what I am tasting.
A smokey, boozy, sundae. Not a bad sipper.
Another great beer by Prairie.
I think this would have been much better without the plastic vanilla flavor or the cherry. Too much artificial confusion, but would have been a great concept to make a sundae brew.
the peanuts come through abnormally strong
Great bourbon flavor leads off. Chocolate and cherry follow blended well.
malt and alcohol sweet, huge artificial vanilla, some chocolate, woody, burnt, terrifically bitter aftertaste. not at all a good combination of intense flavors.
7/12/21 because “Sundae!” 😇🍨🙏🏻 Another clear example of Prairie’s stout mastery. Incredibly balanced between sweetness and richness. The peanuts pop initially, followed by chocolate fudge, vanillin bourbon and finishing with a bright pop of cherry.
perfect dessert beer. fudgie brownie with peanut and cherry throughout. since there's no lactose it's not super cloying, and the sweet balances with the dry notes. chewy mouthfeel without feeling like you're drinking oil. Prairie does it again!
