Instant maple flavor with a balanced blend of coffee and chocolate notes. Not overpowering flavor wise but definitely will crave your sweet tooth
Strong maple and brown sugar flavors in this full bodied sweet stout. Delicious beer that is definitely meant to be shared
Complex roasted maple stout
Loved this beer! Definitely a dessert style beer!
Really sweet, maple and chocolate come through.
It was good. Silky, creamy, and stouty. I can't say it was a pastry stout, though. It was light on the malt, which I can find to be too bitter at times. I struggled to identify the maple, but I feel that the conglomerate of extras melded into this whole level that brought this stout up a notch. I feel I would buy this again.
Not getting as much maple as others, it’s very enjoyable for me. Solid stout!
Dark. Very tasty. Very heavy.
Maple brown sugar bomb. So frucken delicious!
Hands down the best pastry stout I’ve ever had! It’ll be hard to beat this!!
Very maple forward with vanilla notes. Coffee and cacao are undertones that blend well.
So many flavors, all perfectly balanced, and so creamy! I’m so glad I bought more than one! HIGHLY recommended!
Rich, dark, sweet forward, burnt finish, hints of black licorice, vanilla, and caramel
Really enjoyed this one! Wills definitely get it again.
Man, I had such high hopes for this beer and couldn't wait to crack it open. I guess they stay true to their name but this beer was just way too sweet. The maple is so overbearing I can barely taste any coffee or vanilla notes. I love a good stout but this felt like I was drinking molasses.
Very sweet but still good. Probably wouldn’t have again but if you like sweet stouts this is the one.
Ordered from Tavour in a 16 ounce can. Poured into an imperial pint class. Look: Dark dark dark brown with a brown two-finger head that slowly dissipated and left a ring of lacing that doesn’t hang. Smell: Sweet, maple, malt, heavy brown sugar notes, some light vanilla. Tiny bit of coffee. I do not get roast. Taste: The taste follows the smell, super sweet (candy sweet), up front with notes of maple syrup, brown sugar and trailing notes of vanilla, and underlying light notes of sweet day old coffee. No bitterness, and only just a hint of the 12% ABV, but well hidden. Feel: Full mouthfeel, syrupy, very light tickle of carbonation that doesn’t hang long. Trailing mouthfeel that is also syrupy that hangs flavor on the back end of the palate. Overall this was a nice breakfast stout... that is to say if you were eating maple flavored candy with a brown sugar coated maple pancake this would be yummy, oh and don’t forget the day old sweet coffee on the side... Cheers everyone!
Boozy stout that slaps you with maple if you’re into that.
LOVED this one. Definitely a sweet, desert beer. Great maple and brown sugar notes with a little bit of coffee and chocolate mixed in. Wish I’d bought 12 of these.
So good! Smooth french toast.
Humble does amazing dessert stouts. This is amazing. Might be too sweet for some, but its great for me.
Very sweet with maple and brown sugar but softens as it warms. Coffee becomes more prevalent.
Great dessert stout. Sweet and bold.
Sweet mapley coffee flavor. Thick & rich.
Nicely balanced beer. If you like maple syrup in your stouts you can’t go wrong with this. Great stuff.
This is almost too sweet. The maple comes through well, but combined with the vanilla it’s real sweet. Bringing out the coffee a little more would have balanced this a bit better. Definitely a dessert beer as is.
Drinks as described just wish it was a bit thicker
Up front sugary taste and distinct flavor. Maple and coffee are well done. It’s sweet, which I like. I’m impressed!
One of the best Maple Mocha Stouts I have ever had.
Delicious maple syrup flavor on top of an already tasty stout. I should have bought more than two
Unbelievably smooth for the abv
Very good. Right amount of sweet and coffee.
This is a cool idea to have a pancake with maple syrup turned into a beer. Unfortunately the ratio of ingredients was not to my liking, it was too syrupy sweet for me.
Words cannot describe the amazing ness....
Yet another Covid brunch paired with EPL football. Very subtle coffee nose, strong maple opening fades quickly into slightly bitter coffee aftertaste which unmasks the booziness. Solid, not stellar.
I enjoyed it just a bit too much maple, but Boi did it pack a punch
Tasted like maple syrup on packages with a sweet smooth finish
Not for everyone! Definitely a dessert beer.
So much maple
Good flavor, nice and silky.
It’s a whole damn meal.
Starts with a strong maple flavor followed by smooth cocoa and vanilla with a nice warning finish
Flavorful. Sweet. Vanilla and coffee.
Amazing love the maple flavor
Good stout, however much to sweet for me. Thick and tastes like caramel right off the bat. After a few sips you can taste the mocha. But overall a sweet fun stout
tasty but too rich
Delicious! Maple and mocha are at the forefront. Not too sweet in my opinion. Perfect on a cold evening.
Not too sweet, but absolutely delicious. The maple notes get stronger as it warms. Definitely a dessert beer.
Love the Mostra coffee in this! Maple is there but not overbearing. Definitely a pastry stout but not overly sweet, nicely balanced. Delicious!
Definitely on the sweeter side but I enjoyed it. I do wish I would split it with someone it's a little bit much for me all at once. I also didn't realize it was 12% ABV
Very, very strong maple flavor. Cannot taste anything but maple. Too sugary for my taste. Has a burnt sugar aftertaste.
it was okay, big maple syrup flavor. good at breakfast though lol
Strong maple notes and sweet.
The worst beer I’ve ever had. The flavors don’t mix well at all. Literally dumped it all out after trying it. Couldn’t finish. Tasted like old syrup.
Way too maple syrup- done with flavored imperials
Great stout... definitely a nice snack
A little too much maple for my tastes but if that's your thing this beer provides it in spades
Maple coffee dessert!!!
Full body, nice chocolate coffee and maple notes
Quite sweet. Lots of maple, notes of chocolate and vanilla. The coffee only comes through in the aftertaste, and only a little. Really nice for dessert. If you don't like dessert beers, this isn't for you!!
Sweet with a distinct maple and chocolate flavor.
Roasty and toasty. Thick and refined. Very very slight sense of smokiness, but it works here. Sorta boozy, but well-balanced.
Like dessert in a can
16oz can from Tavour. Black, sticky pour, head disappears quickly. Still and flat. Chocolate, coffee and maple in the aroma. Taste is all of that plus some sweet vanilla. Sugary sweet, mouth coating, not detecting any warmth yet. Super tasty.
Sweet smooth maple mocha stout. This is where it’s at.
Love these guys. Almost too sweet but toes the line perfectly. 16oz is a lot but was way easy to drink
Sweet... too sweet other great notes like cocoa
One of the best stouts I’ve ever had, smooth tasting, with hints of maple syrup.
Must try...Really enjoyed this one!...maple-ly
Heavy on the maple for my tastes
Definitely tasted the maple! This was a fairly good stout but very strong
My first stout from them, hopefully not my last. Delicious!
Lots of maple!
Plenty of maple flavor with a hint of coffee and mocha
Super rich and very sweet flavor
Imagine thick maple syrup in your mouth. Now imagine it as a beer.
Had to take it nice and slow with this one small sip comes off as a mouthful but was good
SO sweet if that’s what you’re into. I was not.
Definitely sweet, but amazing flavors. Brunch in a glass.
Desert in a glass
As advertised. Very good, but the maple sweetness got to be too much towards the end.
Slightly heavy on the maple but good otherwise
Smooth. Great maple flavor!
A bit overpowering for me
Humble Forager never disappoints. This is rich and velvety and absolutely fantastic
Little too boozy for me but thick sweet toasty marble coffee taste
This one misses the 4+ rating just barely. Just isn't quite balanced, a bit much on the dessert sweetness... would buy one to try, but not worth getting more than that.
Coffee and maple sweetness comes to a screeching halt when intense vanilla kicks in on the finish
Strong maple flavor
I love imperial stout. For me, this one is undrinkable. It's just too sweet.
Very forward maple taste. Made the drink a bit too sweet for my liking.
Thought first sip was way too sweet but stayed with it and was drinkable but still too sweet for my liking
Like drinking a pancake breakfast
positive: The body is full with a thick mouthfeel. Good coffee + vanilla. Negatives: Maple and brown sugar almost dominate to the point of making it overly sweet. I was kind of expecting it given the name of the stout. Almost cloying
This was the best one I got. I absolutely LOVED the mix of flavors, a d I really hope it comes up again!
This beer was just ok.
Very sweet. Not too sweet though. Good balance of sweet and coffee taste. I may not be a maple stout/dessert beer type, but this is my fav that I’ve had so far.
Way too sweet for my taste. To be fair, it does have "Sugar" in the name.
not a bad beer. nice dark rich color, can taste the coco and and maple notes with coffee. not much vanilla, but this is a good morning beer with a cigar and enjoy the cool early outside morning from the back yard
Sweet but a really good stout
Maple coffee notes and quite thick
sweet and complex
silky maple syrup backbone with overtones of coffee, chocolate truffle, and vanilla bean
Shared w a group of four and we all loved it. It was just a little too sweet for my taste, but I still liked it.
