A Note on This Beer
If you’re like me, after looking at Steven’s Creation 4.0, you might’ve wondered, “Who’s Steven?”
Glad you asked! He’s the production manager at Weathered Souls, and he works with the founder/head brewer to develop a new recipe every week. They brew them in itty-bitty, one barrel batches that are only available in the taproom.
Until today! Feast your eyes — and your taste buds — on this smooth, nectarous pineapple upside down cake Berliner Weisse!
Like award-winning pastry chefs, Weathered Souls stuffed it with fresh pineapple and tart cherries. Mexican vanilla beans and creamy toasted coconut add a silky body and dreamy sweetness, so it’s like juicy fruit with a candy glaze.
Normally you’d have to fly to Texas for a slice of this cake. But you can save your miles — it’s all sold out at the brewery! Luckily, I happen to know a guy who knows a guy who knows Steven, and he saved a few cans just for us.

I can’t describe this beer. It’s gross but I can’t stop drinking it. The flavor is like burnt coconut with bitter cherries. The flavor is unique. I honestly can’t decide if it’s bad or not.
