Just across from the Twin Cities on the Wisconsin bank of the St. Croix River sits Oliphant Brewing, a place bursting with colors, creativity, and fantastic craft beer.

If you were to walk into Oliphant, you’d see walls covered in campy 90s memorabilia and lined with a playful rainbow trim. Shelves of classic VHS tapes frame the wooden tables, where guests enjoy creative brews that taste like everything from peanut butter and honey to fresh apple pie.

Today’s decadent Splendid Squishy Smoothie Sour Ale, is a colorful (and scrumptious) example of the brewery’s creative expertise! 

The high school buddies-turned-brewers stuffed it to the brim with drippy pineapples, lip-pursing raspberries, sweet vanilla, and creamy lactose. And, they added a dash of sea salt to help cut through the tartness of the base beer and make every mouthful that much richer.

Each mouthwatering sip is a mosaic of tropical fruit and tangy berry flavors, balanced with the soft sweetness of vanilla cream. It’s like sipping a Jolly Rancher-infused Piña Colada on the beach, while waves of salt water tickle your toes.

Normally, you can’t get this playful, pink drink outside the Twin Cities area. Which means, today is probably your only chance to brighten up a chilly winter evening with this palette of fruity flavors!
