About This Beer
The team at Arclight ages Soursmith Kriek in wine barrels for 18 months with sweet and sour cherries! Fermented with wild yeast and local microfauna, this Wild Ale gets a distinct farmhouse funk. After aging, the team blends the brew to bring a delicate balance to the flavor and body.
Tasting Notes
This American Wild Ale has a satisfying farmhouse funk and a tangy tannic bite. Ripe, Michigan-grown cherries deepen the ale’s tart complexity and bring a distinct juiciness to every sip.

This was definitely sour, and not something my wife and I could stomach. Very much an acquired taste that we have not acquired.

Literally one of the best fruits sours I’ve had in a while…. and this is coming from someone who is not much of a sour connoisseur. light on the carbonation, lots of tart cherry fruit forward, but only the slightest sweetness in the background that nicely balances the tartness. I wish I had cases
of this beer!!!

unexpectedly thick and syrupy. Definitely sour and can see how it might be a bit polarizing.
