A Note on This Beer
A wise singer once sang, “it takes two to make a thing go right!”
And from the first moment that today’s 4.31 UT-rated Solitary Confinement Imperial Stout hits our lips, this song plays loud and proud in our hearts and minds!
See, the Washington Beer Award-winners at Skookum Brewing took two Barrel-Aged Stouts and blended them together; one slumbered for 16 months in Four Roses bourbon barrels, while the other aged for 10 months in Woodford Reserve barrels.
The result? Today’s limited-release vintage!
Nearly impossible to find outside the Seattle area, landing one of these small-batch bottles will have you belting out in song from pure excitement.
Caramel bourbon notes coats the palate as rich notes of fudge and oaky vanilla gently cover the 11% ABV. Hints of brown sugar and roasty malts spark throughout the lusciously chewy mouthfeel. The rolling taste of molasses mingles with barrel-aged heat, ending each sip with a shockingly smooth finish.
Now’s your chance to pull out your speakers, pop open the bottle, and experience for yourself just how outta sight today’s Solitary Confinement blend really is!
