Lime comes through strong...maybe too strong.
Expected more of a smoofee tast but still good.
Very good and flavorful. Smooth and easy to drink
Great texture. Great aroma. Although you can taste all of the individual components by sipping, there is an amazing cohesion of flavors when you take a nice swig of this. Everything is there from the orange, the pineapple, the almonds, and the lime. This is very much a pineapple mai-tai in beer form, but the pineapple solids tend to separate from the rest of the beer, so it loses cohesion. I would just recommend drinking this straight out of the can. Helps mix things up with every sip.
Never actually had a mai-tai, but this was tasty! Amazing flavors packed all in one can!
Very cocktail like. Almond was strange surprise. Overall very good
Perfectly balanced. Loved it.
Look: dark orange (with a brownish hue), hard poured with a big 2 finger light tan head that dissipated to nothing leaving no lacing. Smell: light pineapple, some light orange notes, earthy notes that might be a little nutty Taste: sour on the front (but not super sour), followed by notes of pineapple, cara cara orange (not like orange juice, but fresh and earthy fruit juice), in the nose we get sweetness, earthy nutty notes that die away quickly leaving a clean finish Feel: light to medium feel with a very light tickle of carbonation. The after feel is interesting, almost lingering fruit and earthy nuttiness that linger a while. Overall this is a light sour beer. Braxton produces some pretty funky stuff and this has zero funk, but an interesting combination of pineapple, orange and earthy notes that aren’t really almond. We could have skipped the “almond” and this would had been a great beer. As far as mai-tai? Not really, but still a tasty fruited sour. Cheers everyone!
Tart and definite citrus flavor, but I didn’t find the flavors balanced well. Too much lime and almond. I couldn’t pick out the pineapple notes.
Tastes just like a low ABV mai tai!
Not as thick as I hoped but still delicious
Expected more, but still decent!
I was expecting a punch, but was surprisingly smooth.
Nice one. Wish there was a lil more flavor.
Refreshing taste- can taste the sweetness of the oranges and almond!
Little sweet, little sour, almond flavor hits a little weird.
Very good. Tastes exactly like a mixed drink. Hard to believe its beer. Fruit and an after taste of almond.
Was a little too sour for me
Mmmhm bright tart treat. Give me an island and a coconut cup
Tasted like fermented orange juice that went bad in the fridge
Definitely does not deserve the smoothie name on the can, BUT give it a chance, the ones I got u can definitely taste the ale, but the flavors do come in the background, I really dont mind this beer but not in my top list that's forsure
Went great with a coconut shrimp po boy.
Not exactly what I was expecting but great!
Like it minus the almond taste
Personally wouldn’t consider very sour. Taste a good bit of almond in this with pineapple being the next heaviest flavor.
Decent sour. Not too overly sour. Flavor lacks some pop
I liked it more the more I drank it. Very smooth and pineapplely
Tasted burnt to me not for me
The almond is really out of place. Coconut and this would have been a banger.
Wasn't what I was expecting to much coconut
Almond was slightly bitter and overwhelming, but overall a good sour.
Wasn’t a fan, but loved some of the flavors in there. Wasn’t as thick as I’d expect
Tastes like a Mai-Tai. Light body packed with fruityness.
Mai-Tai in a can
It’s delightful and light and fruity
This took me back to sitting on the beach. Really enjoyed every bit of this beer
