About This Beer
Alma Mader's Double Milk Stout proves that the Kansas City brewery best known for lighter styles also excels at the kind of sipper that begs you to stare into a campfire.
To make Settling In: Macaroon, they conditioned the base brew on huge quantities of raw and toasted coconut and Ecuadorian cacao nibs to evoke the classic, chocolate-dipped coconut meringue. Lactose rounds out the body with a silky mouthfeel.
Tasting Notes
Tasters call it, “Coconut perfection” (@Brock L.) and “Almond Joy in a glass!” (@Carla) for its sweet, smooth balance of coconut and milk chocolate. The richly flavored, 8% ABV brew “Keeps getting better each time I have it,” says @Mike M.

sweet, nice coconut pastry notes but a little thin

Exceptionally smooth. Super cold right out of the fridge it smelled of rich chocolate. As it warmed, it developed a wonderfully smooth chocolate coconut. We enjoyed this beer very much.

Really creamy and decadent chocolate without being cloyingly sweet.

I was pleasantly surprised, I opened this beer without high expectations. it ended up being one of my favorite beers. Very surprised with how well the light coconut taste blends with a well bodied stout. It really ended up being an exceptional beer even when compared to other more expensive, highly anticipated and more sought after beers that I had delivered in the same crate.

Smooth with nice notes of coconut and cacao. Honestly the first beer I’ve had with cacao/chocolate that didn’t taste artificial.

Coconut is great here, woth chocilatey undertones. Very samoa like. Thick with a very silky and creamy mouthfeel, but a tad sweet.
