Hard to imagine somebody actually made something this delicious. Could say 0% abv and I’d believe it. Toffee, vanilla, liquid dessert
Thick, chocolate, coffee and coconut with a warming finish.
Like a silky hazelnut and sugary frappe with chocolate drizzle.
Absolutely delicious!! Loved the taste, nutty and rich in the beginning with the sweet swirl of barrel aged after taste. Fantastic! Keep ‘em comin!!!
Unbelievably good. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, coconut, bourbon barrel and it’s all there. Never had a beer like this before. Can’t wait to try more of anchorage!
One of the best by Anchorage.
Liquid coconut Nutella. Delicious.
Boozy coco hazelnuts finished off with a smooth vanilla yum
Thick, rich, delicious.
I wanna always this.
Amazing body and flavors need this Beer again soon
Brilliant and a bit too easy to drink. Carbonated chocolate shake.
OMG this is like drinking a super deliciously thick coffee chocolately vanilla amazingly goodness cereal in liquid form that’ll make you lick your lips consistently. A must try and buy again!
This screams Pepperidge Farm cookies. Hazelnut bomb with lots of milk chocolate notes and a nice finish. This was a treat.
Dense and heavy. Silky and smooth. Delicious.
Boozy dessert 😵
Super rich, unreal taste. Almost like a liquid snickers.
Thick, solid barrel, sweet cocoa.
Thick and delicious. Adjuncts shine for sure
Molasses and coffee A little too heavy for me, I'll just have to drink more to get a better taste and feel for the type.
Perfect stout imo coffee , coconut, coco, vanilla, BA!!!
Fantastic flavor and after taste. This is one of those beers that you should let sit on the toung for a while and let the essence come through.
So much adjunct :/
Tons of hazelnut, great stout by Anchorage as always.
Thick and delicious.
Probably as good as their blessed !!!!
Extremely rich dessert, best taken in tiny sips, but wow what flavors!
Tons of hazelnuts. Good barrel presence. Nice mouthfeel. Toes the line with almost being too sweet/pastry but doesn’t cross it.
Pure deliciousness. I can’t say what hasn’t already been said. I don’t think Anchorage is able to make an aged stout that’s bad
Party in my mouth
Nice and thicc. Thankfully the coconut does NOT come across as sunscreen!
Sweet with hazelnut, coconut and chocolate. Dang good
Very well balanced
They've done it again, AMAZING is all I can say!
By far one of the best tasting Stouts I have ever tasted. Definitely not Sent by Liars!!
This was almost to pretty to drink, but it tasted just as good as it looked!!
Creamy, mostly chocolate with a hazelnut finish.
Very solid stout. Full body. Alcohol well inserted
chocolate, hazelnut and coconut
Dark and toasty but very tasty
Up there among the best I’ve ever had. Most of my favorite beers over the years have been stouts, and somehow this one found its way at the forefront of those favorites. Forward on the vanilla, boozier as you go. Wish I’d ordered more than one.
Rich. Better than their coffee bombs
This rich, decadent stout is an amazing sensory assault to the palette. Layers of chocolate, coffee, boozy barrels, and mountains of hazelnuts cost the mouth with this thiccc as oil stout they summoned.
Liquid candy bar.
Rich is the first word that comes to mind. Thick with vanilla, dry hazelnut at the back, and barrel aged oak. Lactose creates a milky feel and smoothness.
It is as described, but I dunno if the MO Oak or the hazelnuts made it bitter on the finish. Just had MW from Boiler (chocolate hazelnut beer RIS also) and it finishes smooth. I wish this Anchorage was that. I’ll see if my second bottle is better.
Velvety hazelnut and vanilla
Rich fudge and chocolate aromas, really rich on these aromas. Nice milkshake body, with alcohol warmth. Can really taste the fudge, some vanilla. Oak is slightly present. Very impressive!
This was phenomenal. All of the flavors were there and worked in harmony together. Nearly perfect beer. And I love the bottle art as well.
Delicious and she thicc bois
Really good. Sweet, but in a very pleasing way.
Thickest hot dark chocolate mixed with coffee and hazelnut. So good
I've been waiting to try something stout from Anchorage Brewing and sweet mother love bone this took my taste buds to the moon and back. Chocolatey and boozy, but subtly so. I savored every drop. Can't wait to try something else!!!
My favorite beer from them has been Ten Years. That was my first try of Anchorage. This one is just as good. Alcohol is high and even forms tears, but drinking it doesn’t feel boozy. The coconut hits upfront, nutty and oak linger on the tongue. The vanilla marries it all together. Sipping and letting this one linger makes for a nice relaxing afternoon.
first one I’ve had from this brewery and can’t wait to try more
The adjuncts meld into a coherent whole, but multiple huge sediment chunks are why it gets a 3
It was more delicious later than the first time. Deep chocolate and coconut. But the body was a little watery.
one of the best stouts I've ever had
Stellar beer. Great viscosity and flavor. Can’t wait to crack my second bottle in a few months!
Very well balanced. Huge vanilla, almost tastes a little Caramello. I have yet to be disappointed in anything I've gotten from Anchorage.
Very nice malt aromas, almost to the point of smelling like soy sauce. The flavors, however are very different. There are lots of elements lending to a Mexican Hot Chocolate quality. Lots of bitter and rich cocoa nibs aspects as well as a heavy hit of vanilla. Lots of great toasty, nutty flavors linger in the aftertaste. There is also a very nice thickness to this, making this a very enjoyable sipper.
Finishes strong with chocolate, very thick. Easily the most flavorful beer I’ve ever had. It’s a lot of work getting through the whole bottle - definitely share with someone if you can.
Holy sh*t! This is my new fave from Anchorage, but also bestest stout ever.
I would spend a lot of money to go to Anchorage for any of their beers! I would pay additional just for this one!
Based on adjuncts, I was expecting to like this better than The Explorer but did not. Still very good but not on the top tier of Anchorage stouts for me
Great balance between barrel and coconut.
sweet and thick with chocolate, so delicious
Another anchorage banger
Not gunna lie this was good!
Definitely delivers the adjunct flavors, but I don’t think I enjoyed this as much as most people did.
heavy coffee and spice
Pure liquid dessert
Poured an impenetrable near-black with instantly dissipating deep brown head settling into a still syrupy liquid. The aroma instantly took me back to less refined days of drinking bourbon and vanilla coke. Flavours of rich dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted coconut, Nutella and some oak. Overall sweet with a full body
Loved this one! Anchorage kills the small format ba stouts
Holy. Fucking. Shit. SUPER chocolatey, hazelnutty, rich, and thick. This is fucking GOOD stuff. Hope I have more!
So so chocolatey, but not too sweet. The hazelnut is a really nice addition here, as it becomes the main point of distinction against other desert stouts. While I prefer a malt-forward stout, this is very tasty
first stout from AK. didn't do it for me.
fantastic barrel and hazelnut
cant go wrong with anchorage. best brewery in tavour
Nice coconut and barrel. But milk sugar is offputting
pretty damn close to Blessed.
let it warm and the flavors really start to come alive. I really enjoyed the coconut on this!
Very oily, thick, nice
fantastic! thick, sweet, slightly bitter, perfectly balanced.
one of the best stouts ever…incredible viscosity and flavors from barrel age and hazelnuts, vanilla
Nutty, malty & vanilla. Rich, thick & smooth. Cheers.
thick, chocolate, hazelnut, oak 👌
Pretty boozy, but thick and creamy and a very impressive stout.
lots of chunks but delicious
good adjunct mix, body and carb.
nose - marshmallow, caramel, nut, milk Flavors of - coconut, sugar, nut, milk, booze, milk chocolate
so glad Anchorage is finally making pastry bois.
Four of us sat around sipping this around the D&D table. While we should've been worried about the giant yeti that was about to tear us limb from limb, I swiftly to the DM a snifter of this powerhouse of a beer. Quickly the dark lucious notes of the thick beer took hold and the DM was instantly distracted. Knowing this was our chance, we rescued our compatriots before downing the feral beast. Before the DM knew what happened, all of us were relaxing in what felt like a thick vanilla bliss. We playfully frolicked back down the mountain as if we were the numerous flavors of this beer skipping through the meadow of our mouths. Each tantalizing split second, our tastebuds erupted in joy. Just like they themselves had slain the dread yeti. Upon our return to town we all checked our 0stash, only to find that nobody had aquired a 2nd bottle. Maybe it was all a dream, but if it was, then it was the most amazing beer dream we could have ever asked for.
Holy thick and delicious
thick. tons of hazelnut and coconut. delicious!
A taste from heaven!!
great to celebrate a friend’s 30th birthday
