A Note on This Beer
My kids like to joke that my French Press is my best friend.
Yes, I use it religiously! They’re just too young to understand that I can't start my day, OR their day, until it works its magic.
Although, now that I have cans of Weathered Soul’s 4.34 UT-rated Imperial Coffee Stout in my fridge . . . I’m not so sure I’ll need my French Press BFF every day.
To craft their French Press Stout, these brew baristas used heaps of toasted hazelnuts and Rwandan coffee beans. And, I gotta admit . . . it tastes 10x more luxurious than my daily cup(s) of Joe!
It’s dark as night and creamy as a cloud of whipped cream. Lush vanilla and candied hazelnut flavors add a touch of sweetness on top of velvety layers of espresso. Even with a dizzying 10.8% ABV, it’s so smooth that it practically doubles as a hazelnut flat white.
Whether you’re searching for your new favorite Stout, or just looking to get your daily brew/coffee fix all at once, I strongly suggest you let Weathered Soul’s French Press give you the boost you need!

It doesn’t have the richness you’d expect, but still a very great stout.
smooth, almost silky mouth feel. Medium roast coffee, heavy with the hazelnut, finishes sweet and syrupy. much sweeter than expected but with good coffee flavor.
Coffee and light hazelnut in aroma. Flavor follows aroma with the coffee a bit more prominent. Around mid taste, get chocolate orange notes, which was unexpected.
Creamy, coffee, hazelnutty goodness!
It tastes just like black coffee. A little too bitter for me.
Mouthfeel was fine. But straight peppers, strange fruity, slightly tart… dare I say it is infected? Sad drain pour.
Smooth and balanced. Seems like a lighter coffee roast.
Fantastic coffee flavor with a hint of nuttiness.
nice stout with a nice coffee flavor 👌
Amazing chocolate and coffee flavor, amazing
creamy coffee stout.
This is straight up, pure, no frills coffee flavor. Almost tasted more like carbonated coffee than it did a beer. I like coffee and I think for a coffee flavored beer, it was done well, except I've definitely had better coffee stouts with more complex flavor notes (caramel, milk sugar, etc).
high end coffee stout
sweeter than anticipated but solid coffee stout
Very tasty, very hazelnuts and coffee, creamy, good stuff!
hazelnut forward, and I’m not a big fan of that
very strong coffee but drinkable
Really smooth coffee brew. Would've love to have the hazelnuts come through a bit more with the roast but just a dang nice dark one.
very smooth, coffee is not overpowering as in so many other stouts I’ve had, usually coffee flavor takes over but the hazelnuts come through nicely in this, very well balanced, would definitely buy again
I think I got a bad can/batch.. I'll spare the details. (yes, it was my first beer of the night) 3 stars for color, aroma & thickness.
party in my mouth
Rich coffee milk stout - nicely done
Coffee rises to the top with smooth chocolate and vanilla flavors following. Well made brew that is balanced.
Strong coffee flavor. Best drank slightly warm. When cold or even somewhat cold it's pretty intense.
I really wanted to like this. Too boozy!
smooth coffee and hazelnut
Really smooth coffee flavor.
Taste wasn’t what I was expecting. Not bad, just unexpected
coffee flavor is there. something isn’t great about it. might be a little too boozy
nice coffee stout.
thin, slight hazelnut reminds me of a porter but really watered down
great coffee flavor
