Rumor of Tacos
Divine Barrel Brewing
A Note on This Beer
If there’s anything I take seriously, it’s talk of tacos.
I have a whole checklist of things dedicated to the affair. I’m gonna need my signature taco bib, my “Let’s taco ‘bout it” dad cap, and of course, I’ll need a breezy brew to wash it all down.
I find that the best beers for taco night are those easy-drinking quenchers with a lot of bright fruit character. Just so happens, Divine Barrel’s latest Berliner is a perfect fit for the job — they crafted it to taste like a pineapple upside down cake!
The playful flavornauts at Divine Barrel brewed Rumor of Tacos with real additions of ripe pineapple, luscious coconut, and creamy lactose. A wheat malt backbone mixes with the lactose and fruits for flavors of airy angel food cake topped with coconut frosting, caramelized pineapple rings, and just the lightest drizzle of tart cherry compote.
Sure, it’s not taco-flavored (not even close!), but I’ll tell you what: last Tuesday at dinner, I cracked into a can with my tacos al pastor. It brought all the flavors of that dish to a whole new light!
So, whether you’re in the mood for some easy-drinking pineapple dessert, or you crave a tangy crusher to pair with your next taco dinner, I would say you can’t go wrong with Rumor of Tacos.

Tasty piña colada beer... with just a little bit of sourness.
Pineapple and coconut delicious sour
Very pineappley! Smells like coconut and is tart and delicious
Light and refreshing with a pleasant effervescence. However, the thicker mouthfeel and lingering coconut aftertaste tend to overpower the palate in the end.
Tastes like a pina colada - very refreshing!
This might not be for everyone, but if they served beer at the Tiki Room, it would be this. Like Dole Whip in beer form. I wish I had gotten more.
Honestly couldn’t taste much not the best one I’ve had
Smooth but a bit to much coconut
One of the best yet!
While not bad it just lacks depth and character based on the ingredients involved.
Very nice notes of everything listed with a little tart which accents the pineapple well. Definitely get again
Coconut is most present flavor. I was expecting creaminess and richness, but did not get that. Pineapple is there but not a present as coconut. Kind of like a pina colada if it was not sweet.
This was too hard to drink. Initial taste was fine but the finish and artificial after taste was too overpowering and I could not drink more than 3 sips.
Smooth, refreshing, great pina colada flavors
