A Note on This Beer
When beer lovers are asked about the quality of craft beer in the Northwest the answers typically fall into two groups.
One group thinks that the Northwest is the epicenter of beer innovation.
The other group thinks that the most-interesting beers are in Michigan, SoCal or Wisconsin.
But one topic seems to generate universal approval. Boneyard is a really freakin good brewery.
It is beyond the scope of this mail (and your attention span) to appropriately tell the story of their head brewer Tony Lawrence or their amazing lineup –instead let me introduce you to one of their mega hits – the RPM IPA. [50 IBU, 6.6% ABV].
Simply put, this IPA has quickly become the Gold Standard among many beer lovers including the sometimes-erratic beer critic community. Commonly bringing comparisons and the same level of passion that people reserve for the more widely revered IPA’s (Pliny anyone)
As an IPA, what’s there not to like – its hop palate is underscored by fruity hints of grapefruit and pineapple that keep you coming back over and over again. If you are put off by the strong taste of some higher IBU IPAs, RPM can be your gateway into the vast world of IPAs.
I could go on and on - but why bother – there are already two camps for this beer.
-Those that know how good this beer is and want it more often
-Or those that have been dying to try it.
Either way enjoy!
