Roger Maris the Reluctant Hero was quadruple barrel aged Blanton’s Bourbon barrels for a total of 61 months, the same number of homers the actual Roger hit back in 1961, so it’s layered with luxurious cask character.
Tasting Notes
Notes of top shelf bourbon and tannic vanilla accentuate rich caramel and molasses tones. Meanwhile, hints of Raisenettes and candied fig usher the palate towards a velvety finish, with just a touch of lingering warmth from the bold 21.2% ABV.
