About This Beer
To create this peanut butter and jelly sandwich-inspired sip, the Garagiste crew loaded their honey wine base with heaps of concord grapes and real gooey peanut butter! The sweet pour really does recall an old-fashioned PB&J, with luscious notes of jammy fruit and plenty of rich, nutty flavor.
It’s so much like the real thing, you might be tempted to stick a bottle in your lunchbox and take it to work! But given that enormous ABV, we wouldn’t recommend it.
Grape Peanut Butter
Love the composition happy face
My only regret is not buying five more bottles.
Smells like Peanuts and tastes like a PB&J. Easily a top 3 for me. Sensational.
this was crazy. unfortunately, not for me. smells great, but tasted like super sugary grape jam with a weird aftertaste of peanuts.
tastes like a PB&J on white bread just much sweeter
Meads are not for everyone. Ignore the bad reviews on this and understand that this mead is exceptional for someone that not only loves meads but can’t get enough of PBJs.
Peanut/peanut butter aroma. Medicinal grape taste. Smaller sips allow for more of a grape jelly taste. Unique.
It kinda tasted like peanut butter NyQuil. But not bad
Tasted like drinking an off scented candle haha as if someone turned peanut butter and jelly into a perfume
Disgusting. It taste like cough syrup mixed with fake peanut taste. No bubbles nothing beeer like at all. No mead in this. It’s gross. I want my money back
It’s definitely an acquired taste.
It is very reminiscent of a PB&J, but there is an artificiality to the grape flavor. It's a sweet mead (which I like), but it's only good in small doses. There's no quaffing this mead. Great to try, but I wouldn't buy this again.
Layered flavors perfectly. Not too sweet
I realized I’m not into peanutty beer.
Peanut butter comes through with sweetness for the jelly, still debating
Tastes as Advertised, not for me.
Peanut butter jelly in a glass
Getting more purple flavor soda vibes from this than grape mead, which is surprisingly not bad. The dry roasted peanut flavor on the back end that tastes like fake PB is what's hurting this mead the most to me.
Literally a liquid PB&J
The real peanut butter jelly crime was how this murdered Superstition
I’m missing the grape jelly but there’s a ton of peanuts on the nose & palate. Huge fan of Garagiste but this one not for me. Did not go well with beef dumplings. What was I thinking?
