About This Beer
The brewers started with the Saison base (a beer with “just the right amount of tartness and acidity to make each sip dynamic,” according to Craft Beer & Brewing). Then they loaded it with two pounds of whole raspberries per gallon and aged it in wine barrels.
The result is as elegant as it is refreshing. Bright berry on the sip gives way to tangy citrus zest and a note of rustic lemon grass. A bit of fresh hay cuts through a pop of tart acidity, and it all leads to a long, dynamic finish with lingering notes of tangy lemon-lime and even more berry.
