Puff Tart XL - Blackberry, Peach, Guava, Plum
The Brewing Projekt
A Note on This Beer
The last original Puff Tart we got from The Brewing Projekt chalked up an Orca Whale-sized 4.58 rating from our members — and it wasn’t even an XL!
Today, the team Food & Wine named one of the 19 Craft Breweries Worth Going Out of Your Way For is going DINO-sized with their Puff Tart XL Blackberry, Peach, Guava, Plum.
What’s the “puff” part of the Puff Tart, you ask? It’s marshmallow, baby! And gobs of it. The sugary vanilla sweetness cuts through the tart fruit notes and floats along your palate like a cloud.
If you mixed a bowl of tropical fruit flavored Crunch Berries cereal with the marshmallows from Lucky Charms, you’d get close to capturing the tropical ambrosia flavor in Puff Tart XL.

My wife stole all these from me. They're wonderful, but you might stash some away, just in case!
One of the best puff tarts
I never recieved it in my crate even though I paid for it.
Very smoothie style. Absolutely delicious.
Amazing flavor, great aftertaste. My wife even enjoyed it!
Excellent just sweet and creamy
Always delicious. This sucker is yummy.
Not as sweet as the berrysplosion puff tart. Much more prefer this one
No redeeming qualities, will not have again.
Perfect sour and sweet combination
Thick but very fruity with almost 7% yum!
This was awesome. Really loved it.
Typical of the series. I taste a lot of peach, which is personally not appealing, which is why it’s rated lower
Thick but yummy
Refreshing smoothie like beer. Super smooth and delicious
Smooth one. Peach and guava add nice complexity. Marshmallowy goodness and plum offer just a hint that helps round this out.
This is the perfect blend of silky and fruity. We are going to be waiting patiently to buy our limit the next time a puff tart xl is released. These are absolutely delicious!!
Little too thick for me but apparently that’s a staple of the puff brand so that’s my own error
Like drinking melted ice cream sherbet. Rich, thick, fruity, but a clean finish. Afterwards, you're not bogged down. Great for a desert by itself after dinner.
Drinks like a smoothie cocktail - delicious and smooth mouthfeel!
It tastes like medicine....I swear I was drinking cough syrup....
Tastes exactly like it’s described! You can pin point each and every fruit distinctly, as well as the marshmallows. Poured so thickly, you’d swear it was a milkshake. Truly amazing! Would drink this as a dessert every night after a hearty meal.
Wow!! Fantastic and unique. Wonderful flavor textures and aroma. Great with Korean street food. Love this one!!!
Did not appreciate how syrupy and the strong marshmallow flavor. Unfortunately did not make it past sip #2.
wow, this is tasty. definitely share this thicky thoy wit a friend.
A little on the thick side. But love the full body feel and packed with flavor. It taste like a beer fruit smoothie
Definitely fruity, but way too sweet. Also very thick and didn’t even taste anything like a beer. Somehow Puff Tarts always sell out quickly but I will never purchase one again.
Gross. Couldn't even finish it. Sent down the drain
Excellent beer. More sweet than sour which I’m fine with. Better than expected
Tasty, creamy, fruity.
HOLY SUGAR!!! Extremely sweet, kind of between a berry jam (less sweet) and a berry pie filling (very sweet). Nose is super sugary sweet, taste isn’t much different, though thicker than I expected. Easy drinker, probably more for non-alcohol drinkers.
Fruity on the nose. Peach and guava really shine through as well as the marshmallow creaminess. Thick and tasty.
Reminds me of a fruited-sour like candy mated with bubblegum. Tastes good!
Like ice cream
Creamy, sweet, and thick. Almost like a smoothie. I liked it.
Wow, that is good!
At 6.9%, it should taste boozy, but doesn’t. I could drink 2 or 3 of these in one sitting. However, if thick, sweet beers aren’t your style. This isn’t for you.
so much fruit and I wasn’t mad… great smoothie sour
