“Give me my Prop(ers) when I get home!” –Aretha Franklin

When Ms. Franklin shouted that lyric during ‘Respect,’ I don’t think she was talking about beer. For that matter, neither was Otis Redding when he wrote that song — his version uses “profits.”

But, when I say it, I’m definitely talking about my cravings for the dank melon, tangy lime, and ripe gooseberry flavors in this hazy brew from Pennsylvania’s Funk Brewing. In a sea of highly sought-after Keystone State haze masters, this crew stands out for their ultra soft-bodied, hoppy beers.

Even Food & Wine calls them one of the Best Breweries in PA!

I gotta say, I have tons of R-E-S-P-E-C-T for any brewery that can squeeze such vibrantly fruity flavors out of a pile of Amarillo and Centennial Hops. I’m not alone, either — @Jon P. says that Prop is “still one of my all time favorites,” and @JohnniEMc fell in love as soon as its “outstanding, juicy hop aroma filled the air.”

So, if you’re looking for a brew that’ll get you some serious Props from your hazehead buddies, fill your fridge with this juicebomb — it ain’t gonna do you wrong, ‘cause it don’t wanna.
