Because the distillery uses brand new barrels, and uses them only once (unlike most rum makers), Prichard’s rum barrels introduce much deeper notes of vanilla and oak then you’d normally find in a rum BA beer. An addition of hazelnuts creates layers of velvety depth that beautifully complement the rich fudgy notes of the base Stout.
