About This Beer

People have been hitting each other in the face with cream pies for over a century. While the classic slapstick gag is admittedly hilarious to witness, you usually don’t want to be on the receiving end. That is, unless it’s the Banana Coconut Cream Pie from Hoosier Brewing. In which case, sign me up for a delicious fruity smack straight to the dome.

The crew loaded this Fruited Sour with banana, coconut, cinnamon, graham cracker, and vanilla, creating some absurdly mouthwatering pie flavors.

Tasting Notes

The subtle tang from the base brew ebbs into sweet notes of creamy banana pudding and vanilla wafers with a hint of warming spice. It really is like something you might find on the dessert side of a Southern buffet!

Very solid. Decent tartness with strong hints of Banana. Not getting as much in the way of Cinnamon or Graham Crackers which, IMO, a little more would give it a complete pie taste. Very good nonetheless.

I rarely leave 5 stars, but I have found my new favorite drink. I’m heartbroken I only grabbed a couple because I need tons more. delicious banana flavor and compliments the sour very well. Dulls the sour down just enough to make it perfect

it’s like banana Gerber baby food, but as beer. it’s thick and very banana. It wants to taste sweet, but is surprisingly sour. One of the weirdest beers I’ve really enjoyed.

I am pleased to say this was exactly as described: luscious coconut cream with fruity banana and a background of buttery cinnamon-sugared crust. I appreciate that it’s not overly sweet or banana dominated, thus allowing more of the coconut cream note to shine through. However, if you’re wanting more of the crust element, you might find it a tad lacking.

More tart than I anticipated based on the description. Tart on the front, then eases into banana, whipped cream, and finishes with a hint of graham. Didn't get coconut. Very thick and smooth mouthful. Not my favorite but still very solid.
