The GABF-winning brewers at Crooked Stave created Persica Grand Cru by blending the 2015, 2016, and 2017 vintages of their oak-aged Golden Sour Ale with local Colorado peaches. The high-altitude climate shapes the way stone fruit from the town of Palisade develops its sugars, making it famously juicy and flavorful.
Tasting Notes
This fruit-forward brew has all the sour nuances of green peaches, layered with the dripping ripeness of orchard-fresh flavors. In each tart taste, subtly funky notes of horse blanket and leather intermingle with tannic barrel tones.
